Summer Crew Member

We are a small, family owned canoe outfitting business located at the end of the Gunflint Trail, just outside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.  We are looking for a few outgoing, happy go lucky, energetic, hard working people to be a part of the Voyageur Crew. Our crew lives and works together for the duration of the summer, offering a unique opportunity to make lifelong friends! We fully believe in the philosophy of "Work Hard, Play Hard" and aim to keep that balance throughout the summer. Our summer crew members wear many hats, including driving tow boats, packing food and gear, cleaning cabins and canoes, and assisting customers in our store! During their days off, we encourage crew members to take advantage of their location and explore the BWCAW. Crew members get access to canoes and outfitting gear for their personal trips free of charge. You'll also find our crew spending nights after work sitting around a bonfire, going for hikes or moonlight paddle trips, or playing volleyball with staff from other outfitters on the trail.

We offer subsidized room and board which includes a private room in our staff housing unit and three meals a day. We have a minimum of a 10-week time commitment and 12 weeks is preferred. If this sounds like something you can do, then please return this application, with references and referrals. Please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail with any questions you may have.

We would love to have you as part of the Voyageur Crew this summer!

Seasonal Cook(s)

We are a small, family owned canoe outfitting business located at the end of the Gunflint Trail, just outside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. We are looking for an individual or pair with relevant experience who is interested in working as a full time cook for the duration of our season May- September. Our cook position involves planning and preparing 3 meals a day for our summer staff, preparing and serving breakfast to our canoe and resort guests, and maintaining a safe and clean kitchen. They may also assist in other areas as necessary. Our cooks have the flexibility to create their own schedule around mealtimes and work independently throughout the day.   Our summer cooks are provided with private housing located on our property with access to wifi and our bath and shower house.  Cooks may use our equipment free of charge during the summer when available. Your beginning wage will be determined based upon your experience and time commitment.   If this sounds like something you can do, then please return this application, with references and referrals. Please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail with any questions you may have. We would love to have you as part of the Voyageur Crew this summer!
