Guide Office Coordinator


Accept inbound calls from guest inquiries for Snowbird Backcountry Guides. Process reservations for Snowcat Skiing, Avalanche Education and Backcountry Tours, gives information by telephone or in person concerning rates, availability, resort facilities, etc. Updates calendar and reservation system, communicates with managers any reservation or schedule or client issues.

Position Functions:

  • Responds to telephone & email requests from customers for reservations.

  • Provides information about rates/package options, payments, cancellation policies, resort facilities, etc.

  • Upsells reservations to all guests.

  • Enters reservation information in the computer system and charges credit cards at time of booking.

  • Revises reservation records and document changes to keep records current.

  • Additional projects and duties as assigned that assist in meeting the overall department goals.

 

Mountain School Children’s Center Coordinator:

 
 

Responsible for the care of children that are attending Mountain School programs. Involved in feeding, teaching, entertaining, and caring for the children. Also responsible for the cleanliness and presence of the center, as well as providing rental gear tech support.

 

Position Functions:

  • Responsible for creating a safe and happy learning environment.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the area.

  • Responsible for food preparation, serving, and clean-up

  • Complete necessary assignments given by Supervisor. Develop and assist in activities with children.

  • May be requested to help with set up of outdoor teaching areas.

  • Provide rental technical set up for younger children in programs.

  • May be requested to work with older children.

Mountain School Sales and Rental Attendant:

 
 

Full & Part time positions available.

There are 2 roles within the position -
1. Sales office - Selling Mountain School programs, advising guests on appropriate lessons, providing lift tickets, processing credit card and cash transactions, balancing individual register.
2. Rental Shop - Providing rental equipment for guests, maintaining shop inventory, providing uniform transactions for staff, setting up and maintaining outdoor facilities, some lift operations, shuttle operations.
 
Under the direction of Mountain School Office Manager, sells Mountain School programs, lift tickets, and balances daily work.  Responsible for providing quick and efficient customer service responding to guests needs.  Provide quick and efficient customer service in all aspects of Mountain School and Snowbird, anticipating and responding to guests needs.

 

Position Functions:

  • Provides information to customer about Mountain School programs and lift ticket options. Provides information on all areas of the resort upon the customers’ request.

  • Issues appropriate lessons and lift tickets, and collects the payment.

  • Balances daily work after each shift.

  • Answers phones, returns calls and checks voice mail.

  • May be required to respond to emails and send confirmations.

  • Performs miscellaneous clerical duties.

  • May be required to work at the resort or at the Millrock office, or a combination of both.

  • Duties may include scanning paperwork and indexing for archival purposes.

  • May be required to work outside and run conveyor lift. This may occur from 1-4 hours at a time.

  • Maintain and operate rental and uniform provision

  • Set up and tear down outdoor registration areas

  • Drive staff shuttle

  • Other tasks as assigned by Mountain School management

 

Ski & Snowboard Instructor:

 
 

Under the direction of Mountain School Program Manager instructors coach adults and children in snow sports. The main job of the instructor is to insure that people in their care are SAFE, have FUN, and LEARN according to their desires.

 

Position Functions:

Develop and maintain personal fitness level.

  • Attend all ongoing training sessions as required by specific discipline and defined by training program. Attend all staff meetings. Fulfill personal attendance schedule.

  • Maintain safe, functional personal equipment, professional personal appearance (including uniform), be punctual and prepared for daily weather conditions.

  • Provide appropriate levels of internal and external service such as meeting and greeting guests, helping set up work areas as needed. Be punctual for work assignments. Provide clients feedback via progress cards, summary cards, or personal connection where appropriate.

  • Teach in accordance with current Snowbird and PSIA/AASI teaching and sport philosophies. Attain Level 1 PSIA/AASI or Snowbird Training Program equivalent within the first season of employment.

  • Complete all required training, scheduling and pay-related paperwork, forms for incidents/accidents, and client follow up in a timely and professional manner. Observe all company policies and procedures as presented. Represent the company in a professional manner.

  • Travel: This position may require occasional travel to other resorts.
