Spend your summer playing and mentoring kids in an outdoor setting
Obviously, we are looking for applicants who love kids. But when you’re working with kid, you get to bring out your inner child as well. Who wouldn’t want to spend their summer playing in the outdoors, teaching a variety of activities like canoeing, archery, woodshed, outdoor skill sand more to some of the coolest kids ever? And knowing that you’re changing lives simply by being your most confidently silly self is a pretty awesome goal to accomplish.

Netop is built upon the Four Spokes philosophy - the idea that every human is a wheel with four spokes, physical, mental, social and spiritual. It is important to set goals and grow in all four areas of your wheel to become a well-rounded individual. Every aspect of camp is centered around this philosophy and we do a lot together as a community to help each other accomplish our goals for the summer and beyond. You will grow as a person and you will become a role model to your peers and campers throughout the summer.

All staff assist/teach activities at camp based on their expertise and skill set. Check out our website to see a full list of our activities. We are also always specifically looking for candidates with these skills:
Lifeguard certified
Swim Instructor
Sailing Instructor
Archery Instructor
Woodshop
Minimum Requirements/Expectations:
18+ and at least a year out of high school (or equivalent)
Must be available June 20th-August 7th
We are an all-boys camp and are primarily looking for male staff. But, we are open to interviewing female candidates who are interested in working in an all-male environment.
The ability to lift and carry 40lbs
Willingness to abide by any/all COVID-19 safety policies and procedures that will be in place this summer
Salary is on a sliding scale based on age, experience and certifications held. Beginning at $1600 for college freshmen and moving up from there for the 7-week commitment plus an end-of-summer bonus. Room/board and laundry are included

A director will be in touch to answer any questions and to set-up an interview. The interview will be via Zoom and last about an hour.
References will be checked, we run a background check and then we let you know our hiring decision.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Our busiest hiring season is January-April.
Additional Information About Netop Summer Camp
Netop is an overnight camp in Maine where growth comes natural. We're low on pressure and high on confidence. This atmosphere gives kids the space to breathe, be happy and grow. Learn more about our unplugged environment, close-knit community and Four Spokes philosophy. For boys 8-15. For seven weeks this summer Netop will be the home for about 50 staff members. Counselors and staff are carefully selected based on their character, commitment, and ability to serve as positive role models. In any given summer over 85 percent of our staff are returns from the previous season. Each staff member possesses strong skills in specific areas and enjoys working with kids. Training is extensive and the supervision ratio is less than three campers per staff member.
