Hiring:

Every summer our campers are excited to meet their counselors! These are enthusiastic, compassionate, and hardworking individuals who truly emulate a positive role model and have fun whilst doing so. It is important that our staff love working with children, are skilled in the area they hope to teach, and passionate about sharing this skill with others. We hire staff from across the US and world to join our Kippewa family, all coming together to create an unforgettable summer for both staff and campers.

All staff will receive training on how to become a great camp counselor and prepare you for the excitement which lies ahead. In addition to this, all waterfront staff will attend an American Red Cross Lifeguard course. Staff will then receive specific training for their position.

Our waterfront staff should have skills in one or more of the following; Swimming, Sailing, Waterski, Wakeboard, SUP, Canoe and Kayak, Windsurf, Fishing

Our adventure staff should have skills in one or more of the following; Archery, High Ropes and Climbing, Camping and Trip Leading

Our arts staff should have skills in one or more of the following; Ceramics, Stained Glass, Printmaking, Woodwork, Metalwork, Painting and Drawing, Theater, Music, Video Production, Photography

Our sports counselors should have skills in one or more of the following; Tennis, Gymnastics, Soccer, Lacrosse, Basketball, Fencing, Fitness, Dance, Equitation

Additional Information About Kippewa

Overview:

Based on the beautiful Cobbosseecontee Lake, Kippewa has been capturing the hearts of staff and campers since 1957. We strive to create a caring, nurturing ambiance for all in the Kippewa community. The worldwide friendships and memories made over the summer truly last a lifetime.

Try something new! This is the challenge we set our girls at the start of the summer, join them in doing so for a lifechanging summer with Kippewa.

Additional Information:

Kippewa is a traditional overnight summer camp for girls in Monmouth, Maine. We have two 3 1/2 week sessions each with around 200 campers aged 7-15. We pride ourselves in offering campers an exciting range of activities to participate in, taught by experienced instructors.

Each year we look for kind and hardworking individuals to help care for our campers whilst sharing a talent they are passionate about. We are happy to work with applicants looking to use this role towards internship hours if pre-agreed with teaching staff.
