KenMont and KenWood Camp

Hiring:

We are looking for staff members who have a love for working with children, enjoy being part of a team, and believe that mutual respect and positive values can make a difference in a child's individual development as a camper. 

Positions starts on June 6th.  We train all lifeguards in American Red Cross Lifeguarding.  

Works alongside 40 other lifeguards.  Waterfront is divided into 4 different areas:

• Swim

• Small Crafts (Canoe, Kayak, Paddle board)

• Sailing

• Waterski (Waterskiing, Wakeboarding, Knee Boarding, Tubing)

Lives in a cabin with campers.

Will attend belay certification course on camp. Includes Red Cross First Aid certification as well. 

Works with 10 other ropes staff belaying one of our 12 different high ropes elements. Lives in a cabin with campers.

Our team sports include:

• basketball

• baseball/softball

• street hockey

• football

• lacrosse.

Live in a cabin with our campers and teach kids of all ages to art! 

Our girls arts and crafts room includes beading, jewelry, ceramics, painting, drawing and more! 

Our boys shop includes painting, drawing, crafts, rocketry, and more! 

Our media arts room includes photography and videography!

Live in a cabin with our campers and teach kids of all ages to skateboard!  Skatepark counselors will also be responsible for our one-wheel activity where campers learn to use a one-wheel and get to cruise around camp.

KenMont and KenWood Camp is a premier summer camp located in Kent, CT. We are approximately 2 hours from New York City and 3 hours from Boston and are also 4 miles from the Appalachian Trails. We have a 200 acre facility which includes team sports - basketball, soccer, hockey, baseball/softball and lacrosse; individual sports - tennis, spinning, fitness, golf, gymnastics and archery; outdoor activities - skatepark, go-karts, climbing, ropes, survival camping; waterfront activities - swimming, sailing, canoe/kayaking and waterskiing/wakeboarding and arts program include drama, arts and crafts, dance, rocketry, cartooning, ceramics, jewelry, beading, dance, and radio.

 Our campers range from age 8 to 15 and come from NY, NJ, CT, FL, MD, CA and various other places. Our staff is from all across the US, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland and South Africa.
