A question we get all the time here at Occupation Wild is if you can get a job in the Outdoor Industry without a degree? The answer is, YES!  There’s a huge variety of outdoor positions and just because you don’t have a degree doesn’t mean the perfect outdoor job for you isn’t out there! Many of these positions are not only exciting and allow you to be doing what you love every day, they’re great gateways into building a lifelong career in the industry.

Ski/ Snowboard Instructor

Working as a rafting guide is a great way to get started or ride the seasonal circuit!  Many companies hire guides with little to no experience and send you through a rigorous guide training program to get you ready to go down the river with clients!
