Park Ranger Aide, $14/hr (4 positions)

Would you like to work in one of the most unique and beautiful places in Utah? Goblin Valley State Park is hiring seasonal Park Ranger Aides and one Retail Store Manager for the 2024 season. Positions will last between 6-9 months starting in February or March. These are excellent entry level positions for career advancement in the field of parks and natural resources management.
Free housing is provided in two-bedroom apartments or a camper trailer with basic furnishings, along with free utilities and wifi. Pets may be allowed depending on current staffing. Due to the remoteness of the site, we highly encourage applicants to have a vehicle for personal errands and recreation.
Duties include:
Staffing the park visitor center information desk
Selling park passes and gift shop items
Campground reservations and check-ins
Cleaning and maintenance of park facilities, restrooms and grounds
Assisting with, or providing, interpretive/educational programs
Assisting with accidents and search and rescue incidents
Requirements: applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. A background check will be required. Applicants must be able to work with computer based programs and in an outdoor environment with extreme and adverse weather conditions. Schedules will include weekends, holidays and evening shifts. Experience in a park setting is preferred but not required, as is experience with cash handling. First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred but will be provided if not already held.
Retail Store Manager, $15.72/hr (1 position)

Managing gift shop inventory, displays and barcodes
Maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers
Placing and receiving orders
Recommending additional gift shop items items
