Outdoors and Wilderness Camp Director


 

We are looking for an experienced outdoors person to lead the outdoors activity department for our camp. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can create, teach, and lead structured activity periods that teach an array of outdoor skills: fire-building, hiking, camping, survival skills, etc.

Safety, learning, and fun are the pillars we would like to build the program on!

Any additional information about Camp Winaukee

  • Camp Winaukee is a residential boys’ camp on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. 

  • Winaukee offers 4 and 7 week sessions for boys aged 7-15

  • Dates: June 12th – August 15th 


 

Lake Waterfront Director


 

Camp Winaukee is looking for a seasoned watersports professional to lead and direct our lake waterfront program. This role will oversee up to 15 watersports counselors/lifeguards and manage all of the operations of our lake activities.

Our waterfront activities include: Waterski & wakeboarding, deep water swim with inflatables, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, fishing, and boating trips.

Primary Waterfront Director Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate a SAFE and fun waterfront program

  • Enhance the skill level of every camper while promoting a fun and exciting program. You will do this during activities, electives, and one on one instruction

  • Responsible for safety and emergency procedures on the entire waterfront

  • Organize LGT orientation at the beginning of the summer

  • Effectively train a staff to carry out program activities as needed

  • Consult with the Camp Director on matters concerning the department (i.e. staff, facilities, program, and purchases)


 

Watersports and Lifeguard Counselor


 

As a waterfront sports counselor, you will act as a part of our waterfront and life-guarding team that operates all of the following activities:

  • Waterski & wakeboarding

  • Deep water swim with inflatable

  • Paddle boarding

  • Canoeing

  • Kayaking

  • Sailing

  • Fishing

  • Boat driving

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the skill level of every camper while promoting a fun and exciting program. You will do this during activities, electives, and one on one instruction.

  • Live in a cabin with campers and act as their guardian and primary supervisor to ensure camper safety and well-being at all times.

  • You will be charged with helping campers make friends, navigate homesickness and conflict, provide guidance and leadership and act as a role model.

  • A typical day may include waking up with the campers, lifeguarding (teaching swim, kayaking fishing paddle boarding, boat driving) leading a campfire at night and participating in camp traditions – no two days are the same!

  • A Lifeguard is a rewarding, but challenging job. It requires planning, patience, coaching ability, confidence and skills that will last you a lifetime. At Camp Winaukee you will have the opportunity to work at the Waterfront surrounded by like-minded individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children.
