The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for overseeing the creation, production, and organization of all aspects of camp media. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to taking photo and video of all programs during the entirety of each session, editing and uploading photos to our parent portal every evening, and creating a weekly recap video of each overnight camp and horse overnight camp sessions. This position takes hundreds of photos and several hours of video footage each day. Experience with DSLR photography and videography are required.

Working at YMCA Camp Manitou Lin is one of the most rewarding, challenging, and enjoyable ways to spend your summer. Camp Counselors provide direct supervision of a group of up to 10 children, grades K-8th. Come spend your summer on shores of Lake Barlow leading activities focusing on values and 21st century life skills each day. We are looking for staff who are at least 18 years of age and are passionate about working with youth in an outdoor setting.

Love horses? This position is for you! Our Horse Camp Counselors instruct and assist with riding lessons, teach barn skills, and lead trail rides. Campers will be placed in groups according to their experience level – from beginner to advanced – and will participate in daily riding lessons. Our lessons include learning and/or refining English and Western styles, with opportunities for trail rides, vaulting, round penning, roping, driving, and much more. Overnight Horse Camp Counselors live in a cabin with campers. Demonstrated horseback riding experience is required.

Come spend your summer on Lake Barlow! Lifeguards are responsible for guarding all aquatic activities at Camp Manitou-Lin and ensuring the safety of campers and staff. This position requires oversite to a variety of program areas, including free swim; canoeing and kayaking; paddle boarding; sailing; fishing; waterskiing and wakeboarding; tubing. Valid Michigan Boaters Safety License is required to be able to operate boats and/or Jet Ski, but is not a requirement for the role.

Not currently certified? On-site lifeguard certification course held during staff training.
