Our Outdoor Adventure program helps push our campers outside of their comfort zone and creates a safe space to take risks. Our outdoor adventure activities include a low and high ropes course, rock climbing, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, wilderness skills & more. We are looking for experienced and beginner staff to lead and help run our adventure program. This role provides a unique experience and learning opportunity for anyone, especially those seeking future employment in the outdoor adventure industry. 

We provide all outdoor adventure staff with training and certification. 

Our waterfront program is located on The Stockbridge Bowl, a stunning 372-acre lake! We instruct our campers in Waterski, Wakeboarding, Kneeboarding, Tubing, Kayaking & Canoeing, Stand-up Paddle Boarding, Sailing, and Swim Instruction. We're looking for skilled and passionate individuals who can lead and create an extraordinary environment on our waterfront and in our pool. This role provides a unique experience and learning opportunity for anyone, especially those seeking future employment in the outdoor adventure industry. 

As the Waterfront Director, you will create creative and engaging age-specific programs for all waterfront activities and lead the team of lifeguards in daily activities. 

We provide all our waterfront staff with Red Cross certification, a Boating License, and First Aid & CPR.

Every summer we hire college athletes to work with our campers and provide quality instruction at their designated activity area. We are looking for athletes and coaches who can help lead and teach at a number of different sports including, but not limited to, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis & Volleyball.

As a staff member, you will spend your summer outside, coaching, teaching, and leading. You will be building your resume with real-world skills and receive internship credit (if desired) all while spending the summer doing what you love. If you have a passion for sports and want to gain more experience coaching, this is the job for you!  

We are looking for hardworking, artist and passionate staff who can teach and lead in our creative and media arts programs. This includes 2d & 3D visual arts, culinary, STEM/legos. model rocketry, journalism, web design, photography, videography & film, broadcasting, podcasting, music, and DJ’ing. 

This is a great opportunity to help build your portfolio and gain experience. Internship credit is also available. If you are creative, artistic, and hardworking, we’d love to work with you! 

We are looking for artistic, hardworking, and passionate staff members who can lead and teach in our woodshop. This is the perfect job to help build your portfolio and gain experience. We are looking for individuals who are dexterous, responsible & organized. Training and teaching experience in woodworking is needed as you will plan, organize and execute all activities for woodshop. 

Additional Information About Camp Mah-Kee-Nac

Camp Mah-Kee-Nac is looking for coaches, teachers, and leaders to be a part of our extraordinary 2022 staff. The majority of our staff (except for leadership and support staff) live in a cabin with a group of 8 – 10 campers and 2 co-counselors. All staff will provide quality instruction at their designated activity and be a great role model to all campers.

We are looking for staff who love spending time outdoors and mentoring children. We hire staff from all around the world so we love to work with individuals who are excited about meeting new people and having extraordinary experiences.
