Wilderness Trip Leader


 
  • Share your passion for the outdoors and camping on Canoeing, Hiking, Climbing, Kayaking and Horseback Riding trips!

  • Trips range from 1 night- 7 nights of camping

  • Develop resume-building skills like leadership, problem-solving and skills outside of the “office”

  • Work with peers from all over the world

 

Qualifications:

  • Training and significant experience in wilderness camping, orienteering, canoeing and/or kayaking

  • Current Wilderness First Aid and Lifeguarding certifications (Camp Kamaji provides for both courses on site.)

  • Ability to teach camping/canoeing/kayaking skills to campers and/or staff

  • Desire and ability to work with children outdoors

  • Current driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Possess good judgment, leadership and decision-making skills

  • Good character, integrity, and adaptability

  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control

  • Dependable and able to uphold a commitment

  • Ability to relate to one’s peer group

  • Ability to accept supervision and guidance

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

 

Waterfront Instructor


 

Share your passion for the water! Sailing, waterskiing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and so much more- the Camp Kamaji waterfront is the best place to spend your summer!

  • Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR certification opportunity

  • Develop resume-building skills like leadership, problem-solving and skills outside of the “office”

  • Make a positive, lasting impact on the lives of Kamaji campers

 

 Qualifications:

  • Training and significant experience in your activity area

  • Current Lifeguarding certifications (Camp Kamaji provides a course on site.)

  • Ability to teach waterfront skills to campers and/or staff

  • Desire and ability to work with children outdoors

  • Possess good judgment, leadership and decision-making skills

  • Good character, integrity, and adaptability

  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control

Employment dates: June 6- August 9

Assistant Nurse


 
  • Gain confidence and hands on experience with pediatric nursing as a member of our Club Med team

  • Perform health screenings, treat injuries, and more under the supervision of our Health Care Director

  • Preference will be given to current 3rd or 4th year nursing student (during the 2022/2023 academic year) in an Accredited Nursing Degree Program.

Additional Information About Camp Kamaji

Camp Kamaji is a sleepaway, summer camp for girls ages 7 through 15 years old located in Northern Minnesota. Kamaji is a safe, happy, fun-filled place for girls to come to unplug, try new activities, be silly and goofy, develop a true sense of self, be deliriously happy and make really strong friendships with campers and staff alike.
