Additional Information About Camp Gallagher

Situated on the sunny shores of Case Inlet, in the south Puget Sound, Camp Gallagher is one of the most beautiful summer camps in the world.  It's a place where middle schoolers and high schoolers can embrace nature, friendship, adventure and stewardship in a truly spectacular setting.

The Gallagher community is intentionally diverse. Campers of all genders, races, abilities and sexual orientations are celebrated here.

Away from the fast-paced world of homework, cell phones and social media, Camp Gallagher offers teens a much-needed connection to each other and their natural environment.

Gallagher Expeditions is our roaming camp, designed for campers who just can’t stay still. Using Camp Gallagher as their base, these adventurous teens set off by land and sea, exploring the great Pacific Northwest wilderness and making camp in a new spot each night. They climb, they paddle, they sing, they laugh, they form lifelong friendships and they discover just how much they’re capable of when working together.

Although certainly more hardcore than our Classic Camp, each of our Gallagher Expeditions is designed with the beginning adventurer in mind. Our itineraries offer a balance of challenging feats designed to nudge campers out of their comfort zones, while also allowing more than enough time to relax and enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors.

As a PNW summer camp, our season runs from mid-June to late August with some opportunities for extended work in the shoulder season and in between some camp sessions. We have a 10-day training and then offer sessions of multiple lengths throughout the summer based on the age range of the campers with 2 ½ day breaks in between. Camp Gallagher is a residential program, meaning staff are also residential during the sessions. As a seasonal program with a small overall staff, it is important that individuals are available. While we can sometimes accommodate limitations to working a full summer, priority is given to qualified applicants who are available for the whole summer.
