Camp Friendship

Hiring:

Camp Friendship is hiring summer camp counselors for our residential summer camp in Palmyra, VA, outside of Charlottesville. We are a traditional camp serving campers ages 7-17 in one and two-week sessions.

Counselors teach in a variety of areas including:

• equestrian

• sports

• aquatics

• fine and performing arts

• adventure (mountain biking, mountain boarding, ropes course)

• wilderness (wilderness survival, archery, fishing)

Support staff positions are also available in: food service, laundry, housekeeping, marketing, store, and health center (RNs and nurse assistants). Minimum dates are June 7- August 21, 2021.

Additional Information About Camp Friendship

Each of our approximately 100 staff members are carefully selected and must meet our founding principles of kindness and acceptance. All candidates undergo a thorough screening process including interview, references, and criminal background check in compliance with ACA standards. Staff must be prepared to live and work with children for 9 weeks of camp plus 1-3 weeks of training, depending on position.
